Books of Ariette Dekker
Ariette Dekker (1964) studied business economics at Erasmus University Rotterdam and a number of years of Dutch law at the University of Amsterdam. She started in 1987 as an intern at the then newly founded business magazine Quote, where she wrote about the stock exchange and banking. Driven by the idea that business can only really be understood when you are part of it for a time, she joined Bank Mees & Hope in 1991, where she took a thorough banking training course. In 1996 she moved to Rabobank International Structured Finance, a department where complex financing structures for large companies were assembled, exploring the limits of fiscal, legal, accounting and credit engineering possibilities. Between 1999 and 2002, she worked for the same department in New York, then the cradle of financial engineering.
